This practical 40-week part-time Engineering and Welding course is designed to give you entry into this career. The course includes the opportunity to gain NCEA Levels 1 and 2!

 

This part-time course is on Monday and Wednesday evenings and every second Saturday.  Gain NCEA 1 and 2 through Vocational Pathways in Manufacturing and Technology with the next course starting 11th September 2017.

Course Structure

Taught by making projects, (i.e. letterboxes, braziers, etc) you will cover tech drawing and calculations and the design and planning of metalwork projects. In the workshop, you will be hands-on in measuring, cutting, fabricating and welding. You will also gain job risk analysis and incident reporting!

Graduates of this programme are able to:
